GOV On the purpose and formation of government and where I stand on taxation
Government to my mind was always just a group of people coming together to pool resources and skill sets in order to solve a problem or implement a solution that would improve everyone's way of life.

that would be people agreeing to giving excess money they could not use themselves to help to other who could leverage it more via a mechanism that was to be called taxation.

people demanding higher and higher salaries are generally deemed less competent with money and using resources then people whjo earn less, therefore those trying to claim more, are generally expected to give more back to others either charity or government who have demonstrated that they are more efficient at implementing solution s or just doing the job of improving the quality of all lifes.

that is why I'm ok in principle with the notion of expenses and fixed costs to run a business being deducted from taxation as it's providing services or goods that help improve the quality of life (assuming that's why everyone uses them or buys from them to being with!), why I'm against the likes of vat on food, water and other necessities which everyone needs and why I am more likely to tax dividends and people trying to profit at anothers expense and the only justification to give corporations a break when they over charge would be josepeh and the pharah come to mind with the 7 years of plenty, 7 lean years type of thing as by rights a society can only be deemed to be improving by the amount of resources and luxuries the lowest of the low get to play with notwithstanding quality of education and other things.
